As we are now into autumn and the winter season approaches, it’s time to explore the fabric trends that will transform your living spaces into cosy and stylish havens. Here are some of my favourites from the latest curtain fabric collections:

Villa Nova

Embroidered floral designs with delicate embellished sheers and small-scale patterns feature in the new Abloom collection. Villa Nova describes this range as being “Inspired by the authentic nature of garden gathered bouquets”.

The collection’s floral designs are available in a range of styles and concepts; from a wild, rustic arrangement, to a calming, all-white trailing leaf design. Colours include autumnal shades with blush pinks bringing a sense of freshness and fun; whilst warming hues feel almost like a nostalgic nod to summer landscapes; and classic blues and neutrals ensure timeless style. Prices start at £47.50 per metre.

Ashley Wilde

Inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement, the Sherwood range offers a fresh approach to country-style interiors designed to suit classic or contemporary homes. Prices start at £22 per metre.

Woven cotton-blend stripes in varying scales, colours and textures are the main feature of the Monterey collection. Smart embroidered stripes, herringbone and twill effect work beautifully together for a co-ordinated colour scheme. Prices start at £32 per metre.

Offering a touch of elegance, Eden is a range of recycled woven jacquards across six sophisticated colours: Porcelain, Dove, Ink, Mole, Olive and Wedgewood. The fabrics feature a metallic yarn and raised texture, giving the collection a luxe feel, with a shimmering effect.

Clarke & Clarke

Inspired by the trend for simple, abstract shapes, Vivido comprises a luxurious collection of seven fabrics, including tactile weaves, embroideries and prints. Contemporary colourways such as Midnight and Spice add a touch of contrast to this easy-to-use range, which includes subtle metallic highlights. Prices start at £48 per metre.

New for AW23, Northwood provides an elegant collection of 12 country-inspired prints. Made from 100% cotton, three colour groups represent Summer, Autumn and Winter in a palette of soft pinks, tonal greens and sky blues. Intricate motifs, hand drawn in the studio, share an English feel across forested landscapes, delicate florals and natural influences, each interpreted into a range of beautiful, easy to use fabrics. Prices start at £17 per metre.

Prestigious Textiles

Always renowned for producing a variety of styles, Prestigious Textiles have launched no less than 8 new sample books this Autumn.

With the Echo collection, tropical and luxury go hand-in-hand. Maximalist depictions of exotic flora and fauna with opulent jacquards are the stars of the show. With a palette spanning opulent jewel tones, amber and midnight hues, these show Echo’s tropical take on grandeur. Prices start at £32 per metre.

The orientally-inspired finishes of Jasmine are an ode to the beauty of Japanese influences. Depictions of swooping herons and oriental florals in full bloom capture the beauty of East Asian culture, complemented by delicate botanical illustrations and sprawling sun palm designs. Prices start at £31 per metre.

Harlequin

A collaboration with the designer, broadcaster and renowned queen of colour Sophie Robinson has produced one of the most colourful new collections this Autumn.

In a masterclass of joyful colour and pattern mixing, the result is a daringly colourful collection of fabrics and wallpapers that takes its inspiration from Robinson’s own countryside garden and her love of maximalism. Prices start at £49 per metre.

Chatham Glyn

The new Botanical collection features 3 designs in muted pastel colours for a calming scheme in almost any room. Each colourway has just 2 colours in it and can be mixed and matched across the range. Prices start at £26 per metre.

Sanderson

What better way to celebrate Disney’s 100th year than to produce a collection that can be featured all over the home.  Sanderson have collaborated to produce the Disney Home x collection which showcases 14 wallpapers and 12 fabrics, many of which are inspired by the original Sanderson Disney designs, which debuted in the 1930s following the introduction of the Mickey Mouse comic strip. Prices start at £79 per metre.
